I've been working on this story for awhile. I prefer to write long form stories. You get to have fun with the characters and let them have lots of pregnant sex. Shorter stories,
ones I call 'Bump and Run' stories, don't allow that - boy meets pregnant girl, fucks like crazy, the end. And, while I make exceptions, I prefer natural pregnancy without
resorting to magic, pills/potions, and futuristic tech. My "Career Change" stories, re-posted in a Surrogacy thread below, brushed up against futuristic tech.

Anyway, it occurred to me that the community might not like long stories as much as I do. I want your feedback. The thing that is most ready to publish is simply the
INTRODUCTION to the story(ies). It sets up the time, place, and characters where the story unfolds. I indulged myself - it's a love story. In Sample 1, you'll see this introductory
story will run more than 60 pages. The preface and first 1+ chapters describes the setting and launches the emotional arc of the story. Sample 2 sets up how these relationships
evolved. I hope you all will agree that the setup allows for tons of future stories, whether long or short.

I dunno. I've been writing this for my enjoyment at a writer, but I don't know if it's really any good. Apart from my enjoyment, what good is a story if no one reads it? This intro
story certainly is long. The next story might be longish, but I promise some great twists. After that, the stories could be short or long.

What do you think? Can I get some feedback?

I prefer longform stories because I'm a big fan of pregnancy progression, and the longer the story goes, the bigger the belly gets. Granted, I'm also more a fan of wild, out there sci-fi nonsense, but I'd be down for a vanilla novella

Big fan of the long-format stories, and of your work in general, jfingers - so this is a win/win Smile So far the story concept seems good, and I have to admit from just the samples, I'm already invested in Jim and Margie's summer fling.

I agree with the others, I am perfectly happy with longer stories, which enable more story/plot development. I am into hyperpregnancy and don't mind whether it's "natural" or some other sci-fi/fantasy cause.

Was a massive fan of your Career Change series. Hope you might decide to add more episodes to it.

Happy holidays,

Just reading the first story now. Kudos for the historical context!

The trivia about Decoration Day was a nice touch.

I can only echo what's previously been said. I prefer long form stories myself. Being a writer myself, I appreciate the thought process, time and effort they require but at the end of it all, there's usually a better quality story. For my own tastes, the more natural the pregnancy the more realistic and enjoyable it is. I'm not really into sci-fi/fantasy types of material unless there are specific written descriptions of the pregnancy progression.

For me to read through a whole story without skipping over bits, there has to be a strong focus on the pregnancy progression. The expansion of the belly, the bodily changes over time. I'm generally not the greatest fan of what I can only describe as an 'oven ready pregnancy', where the woman is already heavily pregnant and you have no visual impression in your mind of what the belly was like before-hand.
