Might be just my opinion, but the new Deviant Art is terrible.  

How do you take steps backwards on available features?  New layouts are hard to navigate.  It's a mess.

YES THANK YOU! I went on one day and spent like a half hour in settings trying to change it back to the old way.

Sadly you can't. They forced you to use their new site.

Its so hard to navigate on it. I hardly use it now cause of it. Big fan of your work on it tho

The new layout reminds me of browsing on my phone. I don't like it. I'd have preferred if they kept it how it was in the lead up to the new design, allowing people to pick that or stick with the original.

Agreed! This new format is awful. It is harder to navigate and browse.

They did, actually. I was using the old layout until it was discontinued a few days ago.

Sounds like the asinine changes Yahoo made to Flickr years ago(around 2013 I think). In a misguided bid to compete with instagram, they changed an easy and intuitive interface into to a mess. I used to love going on flickr and finding great pregnancy pics, often taken by talented photographers. I haven't used deviantart in a long time, so I'm a bit out of the loop. What you guys think motivated them to changed the layout? Were they bought out by a bigger company?

I completely agree with you. The search engine borders on uselessness.
