I wanted to post this on Reddit, but Reddit was being stupid and I don't know where else to post this, so here you go.

Quote:Ladies and gentlemen, I'm pissed off, and I have a story to tell about my experience at WWE Day 1. So, if you'll indulge me, let us begin.

I live in Georgia, relatively close to the State Farm Arena, so I decided to drive to the arena, which is not something I usually do. (This will become somewhat relevant later.)

I had ordered my ticket through Ticketmaster, but when I got there the ticket didn't scan. I was in the system, though, and one of the employees at the arena had to print out a physical ticket so I could go through. (Others experienced the same thing.) Thankfully, I was able to get to my seat before the show started, so that wasn't a problem.

This is where the fun begins.

As far as the show itself goes, it was fine. It was a WWE show, and WWE shows are always better live than on TV (even if only slightly).

I ended up sitting between two people. To my right was a little boy who was practically a church mouse. (Poor kid kept covering his ears due to all the loud noise.) To my left was a 16-year-old kid who would not shut the fuck up to save his life. It's one thing to be excited for a WWE show, but it's another thing to be cheering and shouting loudly at every little thing, which is what he was doing. On top of that, he repeatedly tried to talk to me throughout the entire show. (How do I know he was 16? Because he told me he was 16. Did I ask him how old he was? No, I did not.) For the record, I'm an introvert. Depending on the situation, I don't mind talking to people, but tonight I was just there to enjoy the show in my own little space. He did not understand that. I politely told him at one point that I just wanted to watch the show and didn't really want to talk. It didn't change anything. He still kept shouting and trying to talk to me, he was not wearing a mask (I wore mine throughout the entire show), spit was flying from his mouth onto my arm, and at one point I covered my arm with my jacket. I usually drink when I go to WWE shows, but since I drove tonight I had to stay sober, which made the whole ordeal even more irritating. Also, no one else in my area was cheering, chanting, etc. as loud as he was. I began to just ignore him and not acknowledge him when he tried to talk to me. At one point, he wanted a high-five, but I left him hanging. That's how irritated I was.

I think it was before the Becky Lynch match that he got up to leave for a bit, at which point the couple sitting directly behind him asked if I was okay. I playfully told them, "I'm alright. I'm barely hanging in there." So, this shit continued until it got time for the main event. At that point, I decided I'd had enough and started looking for a different place to sit. I was going to enjoy this main event on my own terms, even if I had to stand somewhere. As fate would have it, a couple of people sitting directly behind me decided to leave when they realized Roman Reigns wasn't going to be there. I confirmed with them and told them I would take their place, and I did.

So, that's the end of the story, right? I enjoyed the main event and went home happy, right?

WRONG.

As I was sitting in my new seat enjoying the main event, the unthinkable happened.

The kid vomited.

The kid vomited, and vomit got all over the floor and the back of the chair in front of him. Upon realizing this, I felt like I had dodged a huge bullet (and, in a way, so did he). If I were a religious man, I'd say God was looking out for me. But I guess he wasn't looking out for the little girl in front of him who got vomit in her hair. The kid and his dad (who seemed about as annoyed with him as I was) left immediately afterwards, and when the little girl and her mother realized what had happened, they left as well. (The mother looked very angry.)

As a result of all this, I plan to get a COVID test in a few days. If I do end up getting COVID, I'm pretty sure this kid will be to blame. (However, I went to Six Flags the night before, and it's possible I may have been exposed there, even though there was hardly anyone at the park.) I am fully vaccinated, and I got my booster shot a few days ago, so if I do get it, I hope it won't be that bad.

Full disclosure: I'm a man, and although I look young, I'm almost twice this kid's age. Also, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this kid is on the autism spectrum. I have absolutely nothing against people like that, but I just wanted to come here and say fuck this kid in particular. I know he meant no harm and was just trying to be friendly, and I know some people on the spectrum have trouble understanding social cues, but a pain in the ass is a pain in the ass, and you can only tolerate it for so long.

So, thank you, kid, for nearly ruining my experience and actually ruining that little girl's experience, and I hope I never see you again. Smile

TL;DR - I sat next to a (possibly autistic) teenager who annoyed the fuck out of me and vomited on a little girl.

To relate this somewhat to pregnancy, while I was waiting for my ticket, I did see a pregnant woman. She had a cute little belly, I'd say around 5-6 months, and she was wearing a tight black shirt. So, there you go.

EDIT: I posted this after taking a long, hot shower. I don't know if that reduces your chances of getting COVID, but if not, at least I'm cleaner now. lol

EDIT 2: Here's a short clip. [LINK] Keep in mind he was like this for the entire show.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I've had a couple of unfortunately memorable experiences at wrestling events sitting next to people. It makes you wish you could afford three seats just so you don't have to sit next to anyone.

How do you know if he was on the spectrum. He might have been hyped on sugar which would explain why he vomited.
Also the show booking was rubbish again

If you're concern about about getting covid after last night, then why did you even go in the first place? Who's to say the kid wasn't vaccinated or even autistic? If the dad was there, why didn't you ask him to calm his kid down or just straight up be honest instead of acting like he wasn't ruining your evening?

This story is a great illustration of why I rarely go out anymore. Because in general, people suck. I'll probably never go to a movie theater again, and I may never fly again. Not because I'm afraid of covid, but because people seem to have lost the ability to control themselves and have any respect for others. Every day on the news, you hear another story about a fight on a flight, and the last few movies I've been to in the theaters were ruined by people talking on their phone, etc. Back in the day (now I sound like my grandpa), they would ask you to leave the theater if you were disturbing others, but not anymore. Personally, I hope all the theaters go out of business, they deserve it. I can wait a few months, then stream the movie on my 75" 4K TV, and enjoy the experience for $5. So, you can keep the crowds, I'll stay home, save money, and enjoy the experience much more than being there with the barbarian hordes.

BTW, hope the OP dodges the bullet on Covid. Good luck man.

For every bad airplane or Karen story that makes it to the news, there's a thousand flights or public encounters that don't end up being negative or even get attention.

Kind of silly to have a literal handful of bad experiences sour your entire perspective of public life.

The last time a WWE show was in the State Farm Arena was in 2019, and I just wanted to go. As I said, I'm fully vaccinated and got my booster shot, and I wore a mask the whole time. It wasn't like I knew some kid was going to be spitting all over me.

That's why I said "POSSIBLY autistic". I don't know for sure. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

Honestly, I just didn't want to be a dick. Plus, I already told him once and I think his dad told him to calm down a couple times, and it still didn't work.

It's interesting you say that. I've actually never had a bad experience in a movie theater or on a flight. Guess I'm lucky in that regard...

So this dude is letting his kid spaz out and annoy everyone else and somehow you're the dick for wanting to watch the show in peace?

You could've easily have gotten security to either remove them or move you to a different spot way early on.

I guess so... I do feel like I'm too nice sometimes, and I do understand that if you don't put your foot down from time to time, people will walk all over you. At the same, I did end up finding another place to sit, so it worked out. And it's not like I knew the kid was going to puke. (Although, I guarantee that if I hadn't moved and that kid puked on me, it would've been a situation. There would've been two main events that night. lol)

That sucks. I have experienced similar, I was at a lacrosse game at Mohegan Sun in CT, and the lady next to me (comp tix) could not shut up about how violent it was. Even complained about how when the goalie got a penalty someone else had to serve it..
