(True story)
I was 9. Days. Late.
For an overdue pregnant woman, 9 days feels like CENTURIES. Each minute that passed overdue, I became more impatient as my discomfort worsened. My skin was stretched so tight over my belly - pushed to it’s max. My belly was so big for my tiny frame that I could barely stand or walk. I had zero energy and i had to go pee every ten minutes... even at night.
On my 9th day overdue, my doctor booked me for an appointment at the hospital to check on the health of the baby.
I live an hour drive from the hospital (a nerve wracking thing for a pregnant lady!) My mom drove me there. On the way to the hospital, I started having cramps. They felt like period cramps.
Once we arrived at the hospital, I said to my mom, calmly, “I feel like it’s time to push. I think I’m in labor and I think this baby is coming now.” I wasn’t screaming or moaning, just sort of calmly in labor. My mom ran to grab a nurse.
The nurse took one look at how calm I was, and says, “I doubt you’re in labor.” But then she checked me. 7cm dialated. Take that, nurse! I knew my body.
With that, they wheeled me off to a hospital room of my own and I immediately ask for an epidural. I have had one baby before and the pain actually felt like a near death experience so I knew I wanted pain medication this time. The problem with the epidural is that it slowed down the process. The baby I was about to push out in minutes just ... Froze.
After about an hour of feeling nothing and no progress, I got them to turn off the epidural. And we were back on.
The baby’s Dad arrived, and my mom left for a little bit. During that time we decided to have a little fun. He filmed me masturbating, showing off my tummy, and experiencing contractions. We nearly got caught by doctors twice. He also took naughty photos of me lifting up my hospital gown and exposing my bare belly, pussy and breasts.
We stopped playing around. The pain intensified as the pain medication wore off. Things started to blur together in my mind, as the pain was all I could see or feel. Many people came (hospital staff) to help me breathe through the contractions, and the baby’s dad and my mom were both there for this. They lifted my legs up for me, which helped me for some reason.
It was time to push. I lay on my back on the hospital bed, with people holding my legs up in the air and I pushed as many people coached me through it. Mentally I wasn’t sure if I could do it. It seems impossible. But I did, somehow. I gave birth! And nothing tore ...
Afterwards I was so incredibly happy. A beginning of a beautiful new chapter in my life
I didn’t want to stay in the hospital overnight and I was in great physical shape after the easiest birth you can really hope for (basically, birth is hard but if it’s short and nothing goes wrong or tears and it doesn’t feel like you nearly died... it was “easy” in comparison to your options.) So we escaped the hospital early and went home
