I can somewhat understand not wanting to play the game of "whack-a-mole" due to ban evasion through changing IP addresses and VPNs. Still, you end up giving the offender (ban evader) more power over you by not enforcing a ban, effectively encouraging them to come back under a new alias and continue scamming, even if the efforts to run a scam are wasted.

Can't you restrict a user's privileges to message and comment? And if not, I know it's within the @Admin and Moderator's control to close threads from any further replies.

This is exactly what we do with her and others @AnonymousBump. Basically making the whole thing extremely inconvenient. I don't want to share the exact details, but her new account is effectively "disabled"; try sending a PM for example.

We'll probably lock this thread after a few days.

Going by another name on Tumblr, and folks are apparently still getting scammed despite many comments telling people to avoid. I guess watch to make sure that name doesn’t pop-up here.

I’m following her after she popped up there and some of her comments are “restricted, waiting for authorization, blocked, or removed.” Meaning that shes possibly deleting and blocking anyone who is speaking out.
