31 weeks and some days. I’m just trying to make it to 36 weeks without falling over, knees & back crumbling or skin ripping in half... that’s all! These girls are getting so big & strong I can see them tap dancing & boxing all day... Sleeping has been such a struggle - please send me tips for how you ladies get any sleep this late in the game with heartburn, crushed ribs & midnight cravings ? in other news, the IP’s are settled into their new home, but will be temporarily moving out here to be near the hospital for appointments and delivery! All belly, all the time ? I don’t know if these girls could “drop” anymore - my belly seriously rests on my thighs when I sit down and walking without waddling is impossible. Lightening crotch in full effect!

The fact we have made it this far is absolutely insane to me. For everyone who told me twins are usually early, ughhhh. I am proud to have carried them this long, they apparently wanna stay in this cozy belly, but ladies, your parents are waiting to meet you! The IP’s are SO anxious to have their girls in their arms & be able to head back home.

Amazed & shocked with my body for everything it has done. Women are magical, one of kind freaking rockstars.

Also, I am completely crumbling with every step I take & every kick or punch from the girlies. “Your body is made for these babies” might be true for naturally occurring multiples, but my body is not happy about this anymore. It has never had this much weight before - I am 10 lbs more than I was when I delivered my son (40w2d) who was an 8lbs baby so this good ole body has put in some work, but nothing close to 149.4lbs of twin craziness. Believe me, it’s not about the “bounce back” or “losing baby weight - it’s the feeling of my skin stretching, rib cage & chest feeling bruised, stomach being shoved into my throat & my poor poor swollen legs/feet - I can feel my body coming to the end. Part of it is definitely my decision to keep going with our regular life things and commitments, probably only pulled back about 30% of what we usually do - it truly is a luxury to be able to do nothing & rest.
