This is just something I've thought about, I don't know if anyone's talked about this or not, but is having a pregnancy fetish becoming more generally accepted? The first major point to this is Alan from the show "Two and a Half Men", who was reveled to have a pregnancy fetish. Since then, I've heard of other shows dabbling in it as well. So is it possible that the general acceptance of having a pregnancy fetish is getting a little better?

I know it will never be completely accepted, and that there's still going to be creeps who take the fetish way to far (though all fetishes are going to have those people), but it's something to think about at least!

See that's the thing. Alan from "Two and a Half Men" & his liking of this was trying to tell the general audience that our fetish is bad and no one should be accepting us. You even pointed it how society will see us. They see us as being stalkers and could possibly be a rapist. At the same time we are held at a higher standard than rapist and child molesters. We also don't have a set measuring stick across the board with all types of fetishes of what would happen if we get out of line. Also society as a whole is bipolar on everything. Could we be accepted? Yes. Will it happened overnight? No.

It will someday. Hell, you'll catch less shit nowadays if you say you have a foot fetish.

The more positive exposure this fetish gets (because let's be honest, the Two and Half Men thing and most of the articles online of pissed off moms didn't do us any favors) the better. This fetish needs to be seen more about the woman's body shape and less about the unborn child, which is what is currently thought of by the general public about us.

I think most people know that there are other weirder fetishes out there, so ours is pretty tame by comparison. At the same time, I wouldn't go around wearing a shirt that says "I HAVE A PREGNANCY FETISH", if you get what I'm saying. Save it for the bedroom.

It just depends on how common it s. Foot fetish is pretty common now. I think we were just given shit for it because it was such a taboo subject but pregnancy fetish is popping up more frequently now and it's not so bad now as it was maybe two years ago.

I think people are still just a bunch of puritanical fucks who turn their noses up are pretty much any fetish. Ours isn't special.

Look what is really hurting us is therefore like the guy a few years ago who went into a Wal-Mart and stuck his hands under a very pregnant woman's dress and diddled her pussy while her small children watched asking her if her baby was moving and if it felt good. It really killed my my photohobby because at the time most of my models I found at Wal-Mart and since that happened in my state I immediately stopped trying to find models at Wal-Mart because they had not caught the guy so I started finding my models elsewhere. Like model mayhem and Craigslist. But yes usually we are portrayed as stalkers and losers and degenerates but I think that is mostly a us thing because from what I understand in parts of Germany and Japan pregnancy fetish. Is not considered that big a deal and is quite common.

What you said & what I said before really hits it on the head. This is how society treats us and as of right now there is nothing that we can do. Its only in the current future and the far future that we can educate society to think that who we are and what we do is "Normal". Other fetishes that are out there seem to be more "Normal" than ours. Only in a "Perfect and accepting" Society will they ever accept us. The only thing that we can do right now is to try to figure out from others why they treat us like this and how we can right the wrongs that we are given and labeled with.

How "don't be a skeezy fuck" is so hard to understand, I'll never know. But from a purely cultural/anthropological perspective, pretty much all cultures put pregnant women on a pedestal and say "Look, don't touch; this is a sacred condition". Hell, I think the Aztecs limited their version of heaven to soldiers killed in action and women who died in childbirth. The moment we take a step back and people start realizing that pregnant women are human too, with all the needs and wants adult humans have (obviously with addenda to the safety of the unborn child) is when this comes into the mainstream.
