Do you think that after the vaccine is administered there will be more alot of preggos out in 2021? Like the baby boomers in the 40s and 50s
TacoTamale
No. It'll be the same amount of pregnancies as it has always been.

There'll probably be fewer pregnancies because the post-virus economy isn't very good. The post-war economy of the late 40's through 60's was way better than pre-war. Everyone could afford multiple kids, a house, a car, etc.

I agree that nothing will change. Couples will make cream pies without birth control as they always have. No increase in pregnancy rate will be seen. However there is one thing we can all be sure of and that is there will always be preggos roaming the earth for our viewing pleasure.

Well I do believe that there will be a baby boom post-COVID. I don’t see 2021 being the year where the boom will start but it will be 2022 for it. We will still have our random handful pregnant encounters from now until the start of the post-COVID baby boom. It’s just that right now it’s all random and babies being born during this pandemic is odd. We only just have to wait and see what will happen

From a financial point of view, it wouldn't make sense since the economy is going to be messed up for a while. Not to mention it's been roughly 8 months since quarantine, so the boom should be starting as early as Christmas.

I don’t think there’ll be an huge increase in preggos per se. As @LTKNT101 said, the general amount will still arise. However when the pandemic has passed through its course and is less of a major concern, I can easily see more and more preggos being out and about instead of cooped up in their homes to avoid COVID. Honestly, that’ll be how everyone will react after lockdowns. People still will continue to live their lives. When looking at other countries more down on their luck compared to the Western World, COVID is the least of their problems. Need I mention countless civil wars and strife that were already occurring before the pandemic?

Humans are durable and ambitious people. Those who aren’t threatened much by the virus will move-on. Those who are will find a way to mitigate it and continue moving forwards like the others are.

I was never thinking of Christmas of 2020 to be the starting point to b honest. Glad that you and me are in some kind of agreement where a possible baby boom will happen. The only reason why I picked 2022 over 2021 is because based on the last pandemic we had that wasn’t the Swine Flu, it was a bad one. I don’t recall a post-Swine Flu baby boom within the tail end of 2010 into 2011. The only small baby boom that there was in the US that wasn’t caused by a medical epidemic was the one after Hurricane Sandy of 2012. So I’m placing my confidence in 2022 for that baby boom. But I can still be wrong on that as well

Christmas would make sense considering March was when the lockdowns started. But regardless of the pandemic or not, I've noticed that the collation between a spike in pregnancies and world events has been inconsistent to the point where a random Tuesday in April can be the day where millions of couples conceive.

SO THIS CONFIRMS THAT B4BIES ARE FULLY BAKED CREAM PIES!

as for the topic, the economy needs to get better before. I agree with that statement and those who stated it above.
