So recently, I’ve seen a lot more users get banned like linkthechampion, who has only 3 posts and one of them was a single, “what’s her ig?” And TommyDe, who idk if he is banned or not but he has a slash in his name. Why are there more bans recently? Are there new policies that I do not know of?

More Bans Lately

Talked about this in the suggestion section. Admin responded to my propostion with something along line, That if you repeatedly post stuff in the wrong section you can get banned. And i guess alot of pepole isn´t following the rules either so it could be both...
Admin has come out and said they will be implemented soft bans. Meaning if you break the rules, you are banned for a few days at first. Continued rule breaks might result in more permanent bans.
Honestly the rules here arent hard to adhere to, and I've been seeing lots more blatantly wrong posts.
Wish people thought about doing things before doing them. These days people don't think that much. Life was easier before smart tech an social media. People couldnt hop on the internet back then so they had to read books. Theres just 1 flaw in banning: even if they understsnd the ban, what's stopping them from taking us down with them & we end up on Local 4 news at 11? Almost reminds me of the dA bans.. the admins there were real idiots. Inlike this site way more.
Just to echo what @"Faust227" and @tomostrife said, almost all of the bans are temporary to begin with. Profile requests are pretty egregious and that user will be back in two weeks. They're not all that much more frequent, but unlike before, we are preserving and striking out some of the offending posts so it's clear what happened (and what shouldn't happen).
The rules are pretty simple and soft bans are mostly reserved for people who spam requests, necro a bunch of threads simultaneously or make a profile request. It's not meant to be heavy-handed -- just a bit more frequent and visible. It's not meant to be heavy-handed -- just a bit more frequent and visible. I highly encourage @Admin decisions. The only thing stopping this site from becoming chaos like Pregnant Community 2.0 or Pregchan is the moderators and the members who try to post civilly. Even though sometimes even I don't. | |||||||||||
