Mesh underwear after birth

I was cleaning out my closet and found the hospital bag from one when of our kids was born.  In it were a couple of pads, a few diapers and 3 pairs of mesh underwear they give  after birth.  All 4 times my wife wore her regular underwear and a pad.  Has anyone's wife or girlfriend ever worn the mesh?   Just curious

I don't know how your mesh looked like, we had something like this though :
