today mega deleted 8 videos of my LollipopsAndGumdrops folder. just straight up deleted them without warning. (reason was a complain xD)
google drive at least didn't delete any of my videos. they just flagged them.

If it was a complaint for the reason behind it, that tells you that the model herself came across it and requested from MEGA’s staff that they take it down. Either someone ratted you out or she found it herself. All in all, that’s one of the main reasons why trades are best kept under the radar.

Out of sight and out of mind, right?

I’d recommend to other people with this issue to also invest in some sort of physical backup for stuff. A decent internal or external hard-drive can always help. I remember when I didn’t do both cloud-storage and physical storage last year. Lost a shit ton of content, some completely unique and I couldn’t recover it since it was wiped off the internet too. Ever since then, I’ve dipped into the cloud and hard drives at the same time.

I've personally doubled down on the physical storage since the monthly cost of cloud for my ever growing collection outweights the cost of an external drive. So I have a 480gb external daily drive, and an off-site backup that I clone every month or so. At this point I've invested so much into customs and privates, that I can't trust MEGA or Google who can wipe all of that away with a blink of an eye.

I’m with ya there. I still use cloud now just for better management of trading and exchange of content.

If I were you I'd have separate accounts for public, trades, and your personal stash, for precisely this reason...
