What's with documentaries or news stories like these where a person has a medical anomaly and the whole thing is just the doctor talking?

Never thought ol' Octomom would have her record broken, assuming all the babies survive, which seems to be the case at this point. Unfortunately I highly doubt we'll see any pictures, both because she's from a very impoverished part of the world as well as the fact that this seems to be a one-in-a-billion biological fluke, not the shitstorm of irresponsible decisions that led to the media circus surrounding Nadya Suleiman back in 2009.
I'd be concerned for the family's future, only I read that the President of Mali congratulated them and offered them financial assistance, so they should be fine.
