Im going to preface this by saying she ISNT pregnant, so if you choose to read this thread, I promise it’ll be worthwhile. I’m putting this on here as I don’t want this on Reddit, and this place seems very secluded from the public eye. Here’s the situation:


Long story short, I met this wonderful person named “Winter”. Her personality is so fun, exciting, she even likes anime, video games; Even going to Comic-con! It’s what every 20 year old guy wants in a girl. The catch: she’s a stripper (she hasn’t been; I don’t think)

Recently, we started talking about personal stuff while she was at “work”, and here is where things get interesting.

She told me her real name outside of the club AND her personal #. I haven’t been going to strip clubs for that long, but I know that is a HUGE leap of trust. I don’t want to complicate things, but I feel like things already are!

I'm not sure why her being a stripper is a catch/issue, unless you're concerned she's just using you for money. Which she may very well be, as that's kinda par for the course in those circles.

I wouldn't rush into anything. You got her info - start texting and see if you can meet up outside of work. Nothing fancy. I would generally take things slowly (she's probably used to guys going quickly and falling all over her) to show you're interested interested.

Strippers usually (not always) are harassed, offer escort services, get involved with bad guys, drugs etc

Rule #1: do NOT put her on a pedestal. That's true no matter what her occupation is. If you view her as the girl of your dreams right out of the gate then it's going to be devastating for you if things don't work out. Maybe that's not what you're doing, but the "it's everything a 20-year-old guy wants" line makes me wonder.

Rule #2 comes from an old friend of mine that married a stripper: never marry a stripper. While I hate generalizing people based on a profession they chose, strippers seem to carry a unique sort of baggage that can make relationships difficult.

If you want to try starting something with her, go for it. Just have realistic expectations and don't let yourself get carried away too quickly.
