Kate Micucci, actress and musician, various comedy bit parts across Scrubs, Big Bang Theory, and more, and her band Garfunkel & Oates, was pregnant in 2019. I have a soft spot for this nerdy hipster.

Well, this is downright bizarre.

Certainly a fan of this cutie as well, I took it upon myself to seek out any and all evidence - articles, photographs, what have you - that she was actually pregnant in 2019 (or at any other time, for that matter). She of course has no children, so I could only assume that something unfortunate happened, but there is nothing to suggest this either. I even skimmed the film for which she was attending a premiere event in these photographs to see if her character was pregnant - nope.

The only logical conclusion from all of this can be that she was wearing a fake for one reason or another. I cannot imagine a pregnancy of hers going unreported-on and completely lacking documentation elsewhere. She's done fakes in the past: incidentally, I recently re-watched certain episodes of "'Til Death", a middling late-00's sitcom in which her character ended up pregnant, and even uploaded them to my G-Drive (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1...sp=sharing). There simply isn't any evidence that she's ever been actually pregnant IRL.

That is quite the mystery and now I'm intrigued too
The fact it's unreported by places like TMZ and other sites is bizarre as they usually jump all over sudden pregnancy reveals.
And even if it was some stunt for jokes or to raise awareness or whatever, that it didn't get reported either is so unlike entertainment sites.

Only thing I was able to find was some short videos on gettyimages from that movie premiere where they took these photos.

My conspiracy brain goes to either something terrible happened and they paid good money to scrub it from the internet. Or even nuttier, she was a surrogate for a friend or family member and sites just didn't bother? Either way, the lack of reporting is the weirdest part.

I never saw anything on her IG either, but Riki Lindholm, the other half of the duo, posted on IG in early 2020 holding a baby (https://www.instagram.com/p/B7pj7CsnTbC/), and multiple comments were asking if it was Kate's baby. I just assumed she's very private about her personal life.

did a photo search using specific dates, and ran across this photo from 3 months earlier.

i think the reason why sites like TMZ never picked up on her are dual fold:

she's not that big of a actress, so it's not like she's a paparazzi magnet, and she's very hush-hush about her personal life.

note that 2019 is when she started doing a lot of voice work, making me suspect that a pregnancy was why she wasn't acting in films that year.

Nicely done.  Looks like she managed to keep it on the DL pretty well. I don't think one of her co-stars would be doing a TBT tweet and talking about having a playdate with the kids if anything bad happened with Kate's pregnancy.
