I've been around these forums for a loooong time always lurking and rarely posting, I've decided I'd like to change that but my resources are limited.  I do own some pretty good camera gear and noticed lately a lot of models & performers are making their presence on this forum known, having said that I have two questions:

 1. Would anyone be intrested in having me take pictures for them? (Who knows maybe someone else could offer their services as a photographer as well?) 

2. Would it be okay if I posted in the Models & Preformers section to offer my services to anyone local to me?

I mean if both parties are okay with it, I don't see why not? But what do I know, I am but a humble anon surfing the interwebs.

I think that section of the forum is for the models to maintain their own threads for interacting with their customers, so posting there probably wouldn't be entirely helpful.

You may be better off messaging them directly if you want to work with them. But just thinking realistically here, unless you're able to meet up with someone who's local to you, you'd have to arrange for travel and everything, which could be cost-prohibitive. And really, most of these women seem to be quite self-enterprising and fully capable of and interested in maintaining their own businesses, but hey, you never know!

I agree but the issue is most of the models/performers do not openly give out their location right away, and I understand why. I also agree location is the key, either party traveling to the other just isn't logical. But if a model/preformer would like some higher then normal quality photos taken and are withing reasonable driving distance from me, I'd be more than willing to help them by taking some quality photos that hopefully benefit them and this forum or similar sites. All I'm looking for is the opportunity to practice my craft and hopefully benefit all intrested parties. That being said, if there are any models/performers looking for help taking photos in the Los Angeles area, hit me up.

I figure you're gonna have to build up a pretty good portfolio before anyone would want to work with a creep from the Internet. In order to do that, you're probably gonna have to start with non-porn, and you're probably gonna have to pay models to pose for you.

Lots of scary things have happened these days with models and men posing as photographers. Women are wary to meet up with men we don’t know. Things that make us more comfortable is if the man appears to be a professional - a website, a portfolio, personal references, are all very helpful. You may want to check out model mayhem.

You could offer free maternity photographs, and use a non adult / porn website for that. Be professional, never hit on the women, make them feel safe, give them free digital images in exchange for their time modelling (this is called TFD), and just make the shots not focused on sexy, more like classical maternity shots they would post on Facebook.
