If an overweight woman gets pregnant, is it inevitable that she’ll develop gestational diabetes?  Is it possible to just have a big, healthy baby?

You have Google at your finger tips, why can’t you people just do your own research? Anyways, it depends if diabetes runs in the family or if they live an unhealthy lifestyle. It is possible to give birth big baby, life is strange my guy.

To be fair Google is not the best place to receive medical information. Contacting an actual doctor is a better option.

Sorry, this was hypocritical and I didn’t need my answer fast. Sorry to bother you all!

You can use Google to gather medical information, don’t use to get medical advice. With that mind set of simply gathering information you can learn a lot but again whatever you find is not medical advice, don’t use it as medical advice ever. Even if you asked someone you know who is a doctor they’ll tell you a similar disclaimer, “This is not medical advice, this I’m just giving you general information/it’s for educational purpose.”

I figured you guys were a good resource, save me trouble.

No, it's not inevitable. The inverse is true as well--some women with normal BMI can also develop GD. A lot of it depends on genetics, lifestyle, diet, etc.

TY @“paniniX”! I hadn’t thought about how the converse is conceivable (pun intended)
