We preggophiles in the 21st century have it pretty darn good. If we want to see pregnant ladies all we have to do is a pic search on the internet. Photography was invented in the 19th century, 1826 to be exact. If preggophiles existed in the 16th century what would they do to get their fix of preggo content? Paintings were the standard method for capturing images of people and things during that time period. Would 16th-century preggophiles have to ask pregnant women to pose for hand-painted portraits?

I’d imagine other types of art were used too. Statues and figurines have been used for eons to portray symbols, deities, or just normal people in culture. Probably the people of any fetish and had funds would commission artists and the models for their work to satisfy their desires, unbeknownst to them that it was sexual. Times back then were prudish indeed, but even the Papacy had their vices.

Many artists at the time were exploring nude art as well in the Renaissance. Back then, women were portrayed in a slightly plump manner. Like a pear-shape. However, Ancient Greeks and the Egyptians favored more slim or fit physiques in their works of art. It would be interesting though to find some references of maiesiophilia from hundreds to thousands of years ago.

It appears that early preggophiles would have had to work for their content. Paintings and sculptures take hours to complete. The benifet would be if they were doing a nude work they would get to sit there and look at the exposed bodies of live females which is a treat and makes those crude methods of image capture worth it.

1. fertility goddesses always were pregnant
2. pregnancy didnt always end in a healthy baby

you just pray for fertility or collect pagan artifacts and fuck like rabbits because only 5 of your 20 kids will be alive later

Infant mortality and medical practices probably differed by each society, but I know that a lot of fertility goddesses were indeed pregnant in art or they were curvaceous and big-breasted. Isis, for example, took the detached penis that was buried somewhere in Egypt after Set cut him into pieces. She impregnated herself with it and gave birth to Horus, and this tale seems to come along again with Jesus and immaculate conception. There’s a lot of similarities in cultural folklore out of the “Fertile Crescent” and Ancient Mesopotamia. There’s plenty of old myths with pregnancy in them lol.

A woman using a dead penis to impregnate herself is crazy lol. A turkey baster filled with semen or injection would be more sensable. Of course, anything is possible in a story which I'm assuming this was. Basic garden variety folktales.

This fertility goddess statue of Kim Kardashian is done in the style of ancient stone sculptures that primitive preggophiles would have made. Even in the modern era it would be nice to have a work of art like this standing in your bedroom.
