Would it be possible to add a feature which allows you to download a full resolution image of a user's profile picture?

Hello there -- the script compresses and scales down images when they're uploaded as avatars. The original image is then deleted from the server. Unfortunately, it's impossible to recover these images unless the member retained a copy of the original.

You're not the first person to make this request -- over the next few days, we're going to disable compression/scaling and preserve uploaded avatars at their original dimensions. Instead of scaling, we will simply shrink the image through <div> or <img> dimensions. If someone likes an avatar, they would right-click and view the full imagine.

That's a great idea, glad to hear you're updating it.

Should work now. This change only affects new avatars.

Deleted my old avatar and tried adding a new one but it says the file size is too large, am i doing something wrong?
