I believe her name was Sempterteen? Or was that another lady? I used to love that show and rush home from school to see it. It was introducing the family, break, showing the family living life, break, then birth. Newer episodes skipped right to the birth after introducing the family. So stuff like the lady getting a belly cast, seeing the doctor and showing belly, none of that was shown any more. The show became dead to me and I miss it to this day because it had a ton of preggo content. For a short period of time TLC allowed people to purchase eps online but that didnt last.

I use to watch and record this show all the time, it use to come on twice a day around noon. lmao Back in the day of VHS.

A Baby Story had three distinct eras:
The blue opening with the soft jazz. Was cheesy as hell sometimes, but the belly content was perfect. Births were less edited, more about the mom and the family. Waited until the 18-20 minute mark or so for the birth.
The red opening was a little more bouncy and fun. Less family stuff, and usually had the birth a lot sooner. More about life after birth.
The reality show era was the worst. They completely switched over to making it a full on medical emergency show. Every episode was literally "These parents are about to have their first child... HOLY FUCK SHE COUGHED BETTER CUT HER OPEN THE MOM IS GOING TO DIE AND THE HOSPITAL BURNED DOWN EVERYONE IS DEAD!!!!
The parents got younger and more smug, and even when they did try for anything other than a fully medicated birth the narrator would be like "However will she be able to pull through!" when the episode itself tried to hard to make something normal like a waterbirth be so damn scary with the music that just wasn't there before. The show went from a celebration of birth to a "You're pregnant? Better arrange for the funeral now bitch!"
Those days are gone.
