4th picture in post #4 what is on that girl's belly?? I've seen that pic a few times, but I have no clue what it is.

It's the ultrasound jelly - before spread around by the sensor. It comes out of a tube, so it can have odd stringy patterns sometimes.

The goo on her belly is for an ultrasound sensor. The goo acts as a transfer medium for the sound from the sensor to enter the abdomen. Without it, the skin would bounce back sound in a way that would obfuscate the image.
