I was recording a cam today, and in the middle of tweaking my OBS settings, accidently recorded probably the best clip of all incorrectly - her feed was in 4:3, but I had the output set to... I think 21:9, so it's stretched. Can someone fix it for me (I'll PM you the file, it's uploading to my Drive now), and/or give me a simple/free way to do it myself? I tried following a guide for doing in in VLC, but it wasn't quite working out.

When you play it back in VLC go under the Video Menu, Aspect Ratio submenu about halfway down, and pick 4:3. You'll have to do that every time you open it until you fix the video in some editing software. I think you can adjust aspect ratios in Handbrake but I haven't tried to do it with that program in a while and you'll have to reendcode the file if you do that.

Yeah so did try the VLC thing, and found a guide on how to supposedly use VLC to reprocess the file to fix it, but that part didn’t work. I didn’t think to try Handbrake, I’ll give that a go!

Weird, VLC resized that file just fine for me at playback. I've never found its manipulation capabilities very worthwhile though. Handbrake will definitely do it, though.
