I know people here are heavy users of Google Drive, but have you gotten into Google Photos much yet?
It's similar to Google Drive, with the exception that, so long as you accept Google's compression (which I have yet to see it degrade size or quality of anything I've uploaded, though admittedly I haven't really pushed the limits with say, 4K resolution images), your storage space is unlimited. I'm pretty sure you won't notice a difference unless you're uploading something at or near original resolution from a decent to high end (over 16MP) DSLR camera.
Also, it appears it will handle high quality video as well, though I have not tried this yet.
It's still fairly new, and it's cumbersome, but it seems to be slowly improving. For instance, after uploading a good amount of items, I was disappointed that I could not tag photos for easy searching later. But I came to realize that photos can be a part of multiple albums (without creating duplicates), which is a cumbersome, but workable, tagging method. One large drawback currently though, is that I haven't found a way to cross-reference (say, search all images tagged both "bikini" and "twins"), but hopefully that'll arrive one day.
So basically, it's an unlimited storage space for photos and video with some limited tagging ability.
It'll even build you some simple gifs and collages, typically if it finds multiple images in the same album that are similar.
Here's an article describing it in a bit more detail:
