Poll: Fetish or Preference?

Maybe a philosophical question I guess, but do you consider what we all commonly enjoy to be a fetish, or a preference? I break the two down as such:

Fetish: Something, whatever it happens to be, that is the only thing that sexually stimulates or satisfies that person

Preference: Something you desire or delight in

To me, it is a preference. Like someone might prefer Latinas, or Asians, or big boobs, but it is not the only characteristic that I desire. Deep down to me, I feel pregnancy is the ultimate in womanhood. She is never more of a woman, in every way, then when she is pregnant. So to me, it is the ultimate in beauty. Yet a woman that is not pregnant absolutely arouses me as well.

preference. i have many preferences, and pregnancy is just one of them.

most people confuse fetish with attraction/preference anyway

That may be one of the medical definitions of the word "fetish", but I don't like it. I prefer the broader definition which can be summarized as the sexualizing of something that is inherently non-sexual.

Or, to put it in math terms, pregnant bellies are sufficient - but not necessary - for me. But I would also call them more than a preference.

I feel like that definition is so different from how I’ve perceived fetishes in the past! I always thought a person could have multiple fetishes.

I don't think so. I always heard that a sexual fetish is something that was required to get sexually aroused. I guess you could have multiple fetishes if they ALL had to be there at once.

I love pregnancy. If I could afford it, I would keep a partner constantly pregnant for years. But I can't. That doesn't mean other (not pregnant) women aren't exciting, too. At different times and circumstances, I'm attracted to women who are taller/shorter, thinner/thicker, darker/lighter, etc... A pregnant woman always attracts me, but is not absolutely required.
