I mean there are weirdos doing that on every form of social media. I always see it on Instagram. I saw a few on TikTok. I dont understand it, I think its peak cringe, and frankly just fucking retarded on a few levels.

It's definitely a problem and it happens here routinely as well.

Got any articles or sites bc I go to tumblr a few times a week. & there's people on YT who use social media stuff to prerend & they get no problems.

Gotta admit theres definitely a number of more veteran members here that are real quick to identify fakers. That one yesterday was almost instantaneously called out. It seems the Instagram and TikToks get away with it longer because the main userbase is much much much much more naive. I post occasionally on tumblr and I've been hit on several times.

Definitely! It's also kind of sad to see certain people get taken repeatedly.

Fakers are the worst and indeed they have infiltrated every social media platform. It’s gotten to the point you can’t trust certain threads that appear in this sub category.

I saw the post from the guy who called out the Tumblr person - "little bred riding slut" was the user's name. It was crystal clear when the acuser showed the original photos and how they were poorly photoshopped with another woman's head and cropped tightly to reduce image search abilities. A bunch of other profiles that they regularly tagged on posts and behaved like pseudo-internet lesbian girlfriends with then started dropping like flies. There's still several prominant Tumblr users that I'd bet money on being fake (already covered in other threads), but still have large followings.

This site unfortuantely also has its fair share of fakers. The blatant one's are easy for all to spot, but it's too exhausting to bother calling others out when they garner too many fans and bend backwards to defend themselves when called out.

Definitely! It's also kind of sad to see certain people get taken repeatedly.

So what exactly is the problem on tumblr? I haven't seen any news articles. People can get away with it on IG & YT if no one notices. Some people don't know it's fake unless they are shown the truth. There was a girl back in 2017 that used screenshots from a old YT vid & she got 10.3K followers, then 2 moms found out & the girl muted commments. Then she deleted her profile. Once there was a girl that pretended to be pregnant & even bought a fake belly on her moms card & went on IG live taking a shower with it on then she sat in the tub taking a bath.. her parents found out & grounded her & deleted her profile. 

Very easy to get away with it on YT bc most moms don't use it. It's easy to download vids tag free then to mute the music & put it online. A few girls on YT do it, 1 of them has over 10K subs, everyone believes they are pregnant with aliens. I say roleplaying anywhere is fine as long as ya don't get caught.
