I don't really have a guide per se, but I turn limits off and have a custom shape i use as a "uterus" and shape the belly around it with limits turned off. I also add a little bit of body weight and some other things to make it shape more realistically. I also use a little bit of mesh smoothing to assist.

Untitled,

I was just thinking the same thing.... about learning how and creating my own pregnant content.
Do u have any models that you could share? I'd love to tweak one already created rather than start from scratch

Anything you could share regarding this? I've played with turning the limits off but I never seem to get it 'just right'. Maybe a screenshot of which paramters you are playing with?

I can put something together as a base starting point. I don't know if you have the same plug-ins in DAZ Studio I have, but I can at least give you a screenshot of my starting parameters. Also it depends on what base Character you are using... would you be using a Genesis 8, 7, 3, etc. character. I have settings i use for all of them as a base start. Just let me know what you want me to put.

Thank you for the offer of help, thats very kind and greatly apprciated.

I use Genesis 8 models. I currently have these products(see attachement) - if I'm not mistaken the 'Genessis 8 Female Boidy Morphs' is probably the important one here.

If there are any that are critical I am fine to aqquire them. I guess moving on from the shape I would love to know how to get the skin looking correct as well. But I'll walk before I can run Big Grin

There's some free stuff out there I use, plus some paid content.

I also recommend this site if you wish to *ahem* "try before you buy" https://3d-load.net/

This site also has content to "try" https://f95zone.to/

I would also recommend picking up the Platinum+ subscription from Daz, it'll pay for itself many times over quickly, I've saved literally thousands of $$$ with it.

I learned the program best by experimenting with it on my own (70% of how I learned), watching some YouTube instructional videos (25%), and through the forums/google searches (5%). I use only Genesis 8 Characters since it seems to me most of the new content is for them and they seem to have the most realistic animation capability from my limited understanding (my ultimate goal is to be able to make a complex animation such as a baby momma dance with lip sync and all).

Here is some hopefully useful info I shared with another member via PM recently:
"I could send you models, but it's not that hard to do it yourself. It takes a lot of moving the sliders around to get the belly shape the way you want. All my characters are DAZ Genesis 8 and I use Shape Shift for Genesis 8 Females (https://www.daz3d.com/shape-shift-for-ge...8-female-s ) to give me the morphs for the bellies. I think there are ways to do manual morphs too, but I am not familiar with how to do that. So once you load a character, you can use the sliders under the Shaping tab in the 'Waist' section. I'm not sure how much you know, but if you want to move these sliders past there preset limits (i.e. over 100%), you need to right click on the gear icon in the upper right of the slider box, then select 'Parameter Settings. Then in the window that opens you can either modify the limits or I usually just untick the box that says "Use Limits" and then you can just move them as far as you want. This not only allows much bigger belly sizes, but gives you more leeway in adjusting the shape (which will be needed even for realistic belly sizes if you are picky about the shape, and I know you are). You will just need to play round with this for a while to learn to use it. Even if I sent you my characters, almost any pose you put them in will mess up their belly shape and then you will need to correct it with these sliders.

Some other tips/tricks I learned:
1) The pose will affect the belly shape A LOT! It is helpful to bend your character back at the waist. I usually start by setting (in the Posing pane) the Lower Abdomen and Upper Abdomen Bend to -10, the Lower Chest to -5, and the Upper Chest to +15). It is also helpful for the belly shape to not twist or bend your girl side to side too much at the Abdomen. Oh, and the Pelvis bend will also affect the lower belly shape significantly too, especially in sitting type poses. I usually try to keep the pelvis bend angle close to zero, and make her sit by bending her at the legs instead of the pelvis.
2) I do not normally use the 'Pregnant' shape slider that shape shift provides. It does not make a very nice belly shape IMO.
3) I often have to use the 'Pelvis Height" slider under the Shaping->Hip section to correct the lower belly shape. The 'Pelvic Depth' slider in this section is also helpful.

Hopefully that makes sense and helps you to get started. Let me know if you need any clarification on anything. I would also be interested in seeing your progress =) "

I still use Genesis 3, but I'm probably very outdated... Bigbursty gave you excellent tips. Make sure you follow them. I haven't try the uterus thing untitled said, but it's worth a look too. If you need help with extra stuff, here's one I did a few months (year?) ago, that I might help you with depending what your goal is (also a childbirth one, but Idk if that's your thing):

for the most part i use default morphs plus some from another pack i have (i forget the name at the moment). i use a sphere as a “uterus” and get the round shape from that and then i use mesh smoothing to form the belly around that. usually i turn off limits on the upper and lower belly morphs and anything that is impacted by the sphere i.e. belly button, waist width, hips etc. Then i usually add a little body weight and some breast morphs (if needed) for some added effect. I have kind of cheated and made a “pregnant” morph with generic body morphs just to get a base line for me to streamline my work. saves on the body weight/breast/hip morph work. i hope some of that helps. if you need more clarity i’ll post pics
