What are you doing about the pandemic?
Are you keeping yourself at home, or are you still out and about?
Do you have sick friends? Are you especially worried about anyone? What's it like in your community right now?

I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas in the USA. So far there haven't been a lot of confirmed cases here, but unfortunately our government was very slow to respond to the crisis (President Trump said it was a hoax at first) and I think that's going to cause some serious trouble here in the days and weeks ahead. I work from home but my girlfriends have office jobs, and it's an uphill battle to make employers understand that it is critical to let people with deskjobs work from home if it's possible (and it's almost always possible, they're just weird about it for some reason).

I'm working from home indefinitely. Wife and kids are home for a few weeks, if not indefinitely also.

So far it's been proven that a lot of people don't give two shits about what it is "recommended" they do (e.g. CDC now recommending no groups >10 people) and will do everything that they are allowed to do even if it's not in their own best interest. France is throwing the kill switch tomorrow; the US needs to follow suit.

A sizeable number of Americans are going to great lengths to completely disregard the warnings and then brag about it, because personal freedom or some bullshit. It's like -- what are you, 8 years old, singing "nyah nyah you can't make me!" Idiots.

Im from Italy, and maybe you know well that its a danger situation to us. The governement say not go out, just for market (and enter 5 people at time inside), pharmace and hospital, everythingh other are closed to indefinite time. we need to stay all at home until 3 april possibly, after will see what happening, but the situation is really dangerous.
All italy is in red zone, especially the Nord, where i am, but lucky im fine actually, some cough sometime but nothingh other, hope to stay fine until this finish. And today was 1 week im at home, never go out, problem is the others people that go out anyway, do sport, alone or in group and im very angry for that!! they dont understand how much can be danger for us!!!!

My personal favorite are the large groups of people who believe they can do whatever they want because they’re healthy. Something tells me they never took basic biology.

There are a lot of cases cropping up near me very quickly, and my job can’t be done from home, so I have to go in every day. I saw this coming a month ago and stocked up on supplies then. But guys, I have to be honest.

I’m putting up a brave face for my wife and co-workers but...I’m scared. I’m scared that no matter what I do to prepare, the idiots who live around me will screw everything up.

Just today, an ice cream truck came by. Dozens of children and their parents gathered to buy treats. I went up to the driver, and told him that maybe this isn’t such a good idea right now, that he could infect a lot of people like this...And he shut me down.

He didn’t believe this virus poses a threat. Every fact I threw at him, he stubbornly ignored. Like an angry child. And now, my entire neighborhood could be compromised for all I know.

All because 1 idiot valued making a quick buck over the health of children. Fucking. CHILDREN. I know the kids are fairly safe from it, but what about their poor grandparents?

I’m doing everything I can to stay safe, and sanitize everything I come in contact with...But I’m just not sure it will be enough.

Because of stubborn morons, I think we need to brace for the hardest struggles we’ve seen in almost a century.

I've been coughing up phlegm non-stop for the past month but I'm pretty sure its not the Kung Flu. I started showing symptoms before anyone in the US got the Coronavirus so I figure either I'm literally Patient Zero, in which case I should already be dead from lack of treatment/getting vanned by the CDC glowies, or it's just a regular flu. Hasn't stopped me from scaring the shit out of my clients every time I cough though lmao.

I have read about the troubles in Italy. My heart goes out to you and I am very sad and worried for you all over there. I hope it passes soon without too much loss.

Or they did and are just... assholes. It's not just about "oh I'll be OK," it's about people with weakened immune systems who won't when they catch it from your dumb ass (not YOU literally, of course). Awful.

You will be fine if you catch it, but it's not really about that... it's about people who aren't healthy and young like you. Being careless about this can cause a lot of harm for others. For example, my father is elderly and already has pneumonia -- so there's no way I can visit him now until this blows over, because it is too much of a risk.
