Cleaner Layout of forum suggestion

I’ve done web design for a few different companies and I was wondering if this site is in a forum format only? I had some suggestions for laying it out in a more categorical view just so it’s easier to keep things organized. I was thinking maybe group the video sections under a “video” category, images under and “images” category and then sub categorize those. I’m a part of some other forum groups (non-fetish) and they have some similar layouts. If you want me to make up some sort of layout idea I can probably do so when time permits. Any other questions I’m open for them.

Thanks for the offer @untitled! Certain sub-sections will likely be absorbed into others or renamed, but I don't foresee any changes to the main sub-sections (pictures and videos). This is done primarily for search engine optimization. Also, personally, I value the ability to go directly to a category from the index as opposed to navigating through categories and sub-categories and sub-sub-categories. This will change if other sections are added, however. Tagging is also something we will implement as soon as a solution is available and this should make it far easier to distinguish between nude and non-nude content, among other things.

Do you have any experience with mobile design? This is something I'm learning to do and, frankly, it's a massive pain. As a starting point, and a personal exercise, I plan to make the top-right menu collapsible under a certain width.

As far as the mobile layout is concerned (currently on my phone typing this) I think the mobile layout is pretty good. Is this something the website is coding or did you code it from scratch? I know wordpress or joomla usually autoformats websites into mobile layouts that it seems to think are “ok”. I think some sort of menu might be benificial but I think what you have laid out seems to flow easy. my only complaint is the ability to tap on subjects or page numbers gets cluttered when your on a mobile device, I find I have to zoom in to actually hit the number or title a little easier. (Then again it could be I have a small screen and big fingers, so who knows?) But overall I wouldn’t go messing with the overall mobile end of it too much. Just my opinions haha
