That belly at the start is class, but I can't help thinking it's either real or the make-up department did a really good job masking the seams.....have to say the latter, I mean imagine getting a pregnant body double involved in a scene like that, this isn't the late 70s (Excalibur I'm looking at you)

Yeah the hand coming out moment has had a lot of attention in the media. Just for being so shocking.

Got a few Brucie Bonus', namely Lola which does have some decent belly prosthetics wise, just not used as well as it should have.



And Excalibur which fun fact had a pregnant body double positioned below Helen Mirren's head. It's her head but someone else's body for the belly movements....can't say it would have been comfortable for the pregnant extra.

Doing some IMDB research came across another upcoming German pregnancy movie.

Called Vena which has wrapped up filming, and is potentially getting a Autumn release.
Actress is Emma Drogunova

The last image was them asking for opinions on how to make births better in film, instagram also had a call-out for pregnant belly doubles.

Yeah the hand coming out moment has had a lot of attention in the media. Just for being so shocking.

It's probably some sort of "digital make up" where they use visual effects to doctor the prosthetic, making things disappear using green screen and green paint. I dunno. I just know they did something similar in an indi horror called "Demon Resurrection" where they digitally added a dilating vagina and laid it over footage of some sort of amniotic sac being pulled from between the actress's legs. Visually it looks a bit off, but the motion of the digital lips parting around the big red bulge was superb.


As for this particular movie, I guess I'm going to have to buy it because it more or less lifts scenes from multiple demon pregnancy films.
The demon hand roving over a woman's naked belly was right out of Rosemary's Baby, and that funky gyration she does right before her belly swells up seems lifted from  "Possession" starring Sam Neil. In that one you couldn't easily tell what what going on as the actress flailed around and vomited.
I think it was a demon making her suffer a miscarriage (no belly scene in movie).
And then the Cesarean scene seems to sort of be lifted from the birth scene from La Setta/The Sect, where a woman is lowered into a dark pool and then experiences an instant, rapid pregnancy. So instant that the baby is still in the amniotic sac when it is taken out of her.

So this year its "The First Omen", AHS Delicate Condition, and "Immaculate", and maybe "Incubus New Beginnings" to look out for. Thanks for the upload!

(May 21, 2024, 9:58 pm)Mirlae Babes has some decent belly scenes, Ilana Glazer looks fine as hell and there's I think 3+ bare belly scenes. A medical exam, a maternity shoot, and a shower scene where she goes into labor. Would reccomend! Its also pretty funny.

Is there any way I can watch it online? I tried going to the theater to watch it but the nearest showings are like 100 miles away
