It's just the right thing to say, nothing more. You definitely prey on them, but ofcourse noOne will ever mention that..until someone uses that word and then the whole world loses their shit.. oh well...

Looking at a picture or admiring someone across the room isn't preying on them. Neither is taking a clothed picture in public that doesn't infringe on someone's space.

Invading someone's space beyond "When are you due? Congratulations!" is preying. Asking to touch strangers is preying. Believing strangers are there for your satisfaction can lead to some really bad things.

There's a big difference.
