The amount of necroing old threads is becoming tiring to this forum. Can threads older than a specific time period be locked with a message stating no posts are allowed?

The best course of action is filing a report when this happens, bearing in mind necro-posting is allowed in discussions and requests. I'll look into auto-locks for multi-year old threads, that's not a bad idea.
I don't completely agree with this suggestion, for example, if it is the same celebrity getting pregnant again, we should be encouraging people to use the same thread instead of creating multiple threads for the same celebrity.

It makes things less cluttered, and makes searching for a specific topic, much easier, even if the posts are years old. | |||||||
