I totally agree. I love freebirth/homebirths with just the family there, but at the same time her total disregard for experts and medical professionals is simply bizarre. I’m sure without a shadow of a doubt she’s an anti vaxer also. She cares more about having an unassisted birth than the health of the baby. What if there was shoulder dyscoia or baby was breech and got stuck? Just she just take that in stride?

Absolutely! "Holistic" medicine enthusiasts tend to check all the same boxes. It's very cultish and permeates deep into mommy-blogs and similar internet spheres

Yet, I fully acknowledge my own fascination with freebirth from the videos I watch, the blogs I read, and the stories I (try) to write, lol. Unfortunately, it piggybacks off of a culture I feel uneasy about in reality.

I gotta ask: what is the fascination about crowning?
