Belly buttons during pregnancy definitely need more recognition and love.

The 'cute little mouth' of the belly is a good description! That reminds me many, many years ago when I also used to use the description of the 'eye of the belly'. 

Yes, the 'third nipple' description is used quite a lot. It's not really one I use that much because as I've said on many previous occasions (and I know I'm in a minority), I've never really been much of a fan of the 'outie'. shallowed and stretched/distorted is where it's 'at' for me. It's an accurate enough description if you're into that, though! 

I can only agree the humble belly button is such a prominent feature on the pregnant belly, yet one of the more lesser-discussed features. Especially in stories which I've very much made them a feature in my own material on here in the past.
