My only real exposure to pregnant bellies over the years has been this site, just clicking through images picking out my favorite shapes and sizes. So I have learned a lot more about 'actual' pregnancy now that my wife is almost 6 months along.
For instance: the position of the placenta can affect the ability to get the right angles and structures for ultrasound pictures, and can also deter feeling any kicks from the outside.
So the fact that my wife's placenta is right in the front of her belly means its been a little hard to get some ultrasound shots and I might not be able to feel a kick for a while, all not an issue. But the preggo perv in me automatically thinks "what if her belly juts out more in front because of that?" Maybe there's correlation between placenta placement and belly shape?
Anyway, what is everyone's pregnancy related belly fact?
