Ya this is bullshit I had spent money and had credits left on my camshowhub account and now its gone. Now it brings up some shitty stripchat site

It's been down for a week. For a few days, clicking on the website link would redirect you to their reddit issues page. They said that they're having severe technical issues and will be resolving it soon. They also said that our accounts and bitcoin are safe. I believed them up until the stripchat redirect today. I hope this is just part of their recovery process. In any case, this means I'll have to manually record cam shows myself and or hope other cams recording sites get the cam shows we want.

While investigating this myself, I ran into a cached twitter interaction with them and some model(s), and frankly the site seems to be operated by some scummy people. I don't think this has anything to do with their current downtime, but it certainly made it so that I personally wouldn't trust them with my money.

tl;dr: Models can request to have their videos deleted if they don't want them on the site, but if the cam site does anything that camshowhub doesn't like (ie, threaten legal action), then CSH un-deletes all content from all models on that site as a means of 'punishing' the cam site, leaving the models with no recourse of having their videos removed.

It also looks like their twitter account no longer exists. I don't know if that's recent- but if it is it makes me doubt that their site is down for 'technical reasons'.

Sounds like someone made good on that threat, since that's an obvious violation of the DCMA. I don't use cam sites (aside from a lack of interest) because they all seem to be run by shady people. If Paypal and financial institutions were willing more open to do business with the (legal) sex industry, I think there would be fewer scams and abuse would happen.

Yeah I sent in some bitcoin just a day before it went down so I dunno if I will get it back it wasn't that much but I don't think they can keep it...but when is it supposed to be up and running again? Any word?
