"only issue i have is Michelle being the ATC at Tenerife. ATC was not held responsible for the accident, though communications was a problem and visibility was severely limited by heavy fog. KLM took responsibility for the accident as KLM4805 started his takeoff roll before being cleared and ran into PAA1736. it is old news, but it's still the worst accident in aviation history.
other than that, it's a neat story line "

Interesting that you know this story, JustAGuyWhoLikesBellies.
Here is the documentary link, for those who are curious ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La6mNWbOXMc
I just retired from after 30 years of ATC duties so the Tenerife story is VERY, VERY, VERY familiar to all air traffic controllers everywhere!
There have been dozens of ATC rule changes since this tragic accident and the main one being,"Cleared For Takeoff." Pilots everywhere ONLY respond to this clearance, these exact words and none other.

Yes, I did take some liberties in making the controller semi-responsible because A) Both pilots and hundreds of passengers and crew are DEAD and therefore unable to make anyone whole (financially or otherwise) and B) Just because the controller wasn't responsible doesn't mean they shouldn't have done something... anything.
Plus, I needed a reason why some female needed to be VERY, very pregnant for a very, very long time! Smile Tongue

Personal experience, I've taken plenty of corrective actions to save pilots from themselves... believe me!

i love aviation and aviation history, i'm pretty familiar with this incident as it is a good example of why you make sure to always listen to everyone before making a move, an example of coordinating when you can't see past the nose of the airplane. a lot went wrong that day, but that's for another forum.

out of curiosity, what tower did you work in?
