I heard the other day, that the female age of puberty has dropped to 9-10.  It makes me think about how some are saying the world's population is below what it should be.  Maybe nature's doing what it does for human survival.  I wonder if in like 20 years, teen pregnancy will just be super common.

It's happening because of all the processed shit and added hormones in the food supply. Growth hormone is given to animals to make them as big as possible in the least amount of time and now our kids are eating that slop.

100% This. I'm willing to argue that early puberty leads to early interest. I've heard plenty of stories where girls at the local middle school are already actively seeking to lose their V card asap, and I doubt they're properly educated about it.

That’s what a lot of articles are saying. Given the rise in growth hormone use in the meat industry and lack of regulation and education, children are inhaling some crazy chemical cocktails which is probably resulting in early puberty. The other element is that TikTok has accelerated sexualizing kids at younger ages. Ghetto parents think it’s cute to post their 7 year old kid twerking or being sexually sassy so when they finally get a phone of their own, these kids know that being provocative or having an attitude will get likes. Add that to the already glamorized image of teen pregnancy in media like “Teen Mom,” “15 and Pregnant” or Jamie Lynn Spears and kids will just take it one step further. Right now, there is a Mexican teen mom who is making waves bc she’s promoting teen pregnancy as fun and cute; just another way to get likes and “build a brand.” TBH, I think some of these girls (and women too) realize that people like us exist and that they can get pregnant for a huge spike in metrics.

It has more to do with better nutrition. In fact, there's a direct correlation between body mass and the age of puberty onset.

Paleolithic women reached menarche between 7 and 13 years old, based on skeletal analysis. After the agricultural revolution the age increased to between 12 and 15 years old, and up to 16 years old after the industrial revolution. While high in calories, a diet of refined grains and cured meat is low in nutrients. It wasn't until after World War II and the advent of mechanized farming and refrigeration that the age of menarche began to lower again.

Anyone on this thread who says they have the definitive answer is lying or misinformed. The experts still aren't in agreement on this because there are significant counterexamples for each suspected major contributing factor. Chances are it's a combination of multiple factors.
