Ability to edit thread

It would be nice to be able to edit the first post of a thread at any given time. currently all posts gets locked after 3000mins. This would mainly be useful in the general videos sections where the main poster can add new links on the first page so that you don't have to go through pages before you find new/updated link.

The thread as a whole or the name itself? Cause that's a lot of HTML coding to be done

If there's one thread in particular, we might be able to help with manual updates. I'll look into a thread exemption under the edit limit.

I don't know how complex it would be but maybe to start off you could grant edit permissions to some poplular threads under videos sections such as Renatafuentesx's. This is a comment i made on that the to understand the benefit of this suggestion.

as you mentioned, we could do this manually (by mod), similar to the way google drive thread gets updated once in a while.

Hello -- as mentioned in the other thread, we're trying to identify a suitable forum solution. Without editing the permissions script substantially, it's only possible to lift an edit limit on the forum as a whole (possibly down to a sub-section).

We're looking at NodeBB and a few other solutions. If the OP needs to be edited, please send me a message outlining what should be inserted into the OP. I know this isn't ideal, but we can't rewrite the permissions script as things are currently structured.
