(August 17, 2022, 8:02 pm)jfingers yeah there\s like two in Santa Barbara but I wasn't homeless enough for them I'm 34 and the girls here are 39 and 30 you just have to be willing to go to church do school or work 20 hours a week chores drug testing....they are fairly common still. Usually you just can't bring other children with you one girl here had a 4 year old he could come visit but he can't live here it's for like your first pregnancy or single pregnancy your older kids have to live with their dad etc but can visit there's a lot of resources for women with children under 5 mostly maternity homes are considered homeless shelters for homeless pregnant that's the main criteria is like being a hobo not a teen

Yes it is a Christian home

The one I was trying to go to in Santa Barbara wasn't religious though but yeah in the house rules you aren't even supposed to text suggestive photos to guys but it's kinda like being a teenage girl living with your mom like I can be like ok bye going for a walk and disapear for an hour or be like oh I'm going with friends or like jack off in my room at night

The shower here has a detachable shower head but yeah I just wasn't sure what I was Getting in to moving in but it's casual we just go to church once a week and do bible study once a week but "abstinence is the only choice"

I had no idea maternity homes even existed any longer. I thought they were for teenagers. What is the age range in them? You say there are two in Santa Barbara? Are they super under the radar or what?

I could go on, but I do not think it is necessary. I have one child of my own, and I could never have abandoned his mother. Today, I still provide for her (though not legally, a mutual respect) Even though we are not together anymore, I still hope to make another..... maybe many. Only time will tell.... Just love this baby with all your heart. No greater gift than being a parent..... then again, if you are giving it up for adoption, that is alright too. You're a beautiful woman, and I wish this child all the best in life. Again, thank you for sharing your journey.
