I was wondering if a YT user (more specifically popular moms on YT) can be making a PO box and accepting items from people if she is not providing a paid service? Her vids are FREE like everyone elses. So is it fine for someone like her to accept things like from her "registry" if she is just posing vlogs? I think it would be different if she was on one of those adult pay video sites like Clips4Sale or TMC. It has been in my head for months.

Go to Maieiso Phil's YT profile & u will see a woman who has a PO box and a link to her registry. Im guessing she opended it incase people want to send her stuff. But if im correct: anyone who is not providing a paid service (or video service) cant accept anything anyone sends (other than fan mail) and if the mail includes money then they have to send it back. There was something simular to this on an iCarly episode long ago.

It's classified as a gift because the videos are not done as an exchange just like, you know, anyone can buy you an object and send it to you as a gift? Am I missing something integral to this situation? Like a YouTube contract? I don't think so. UNLESS it is a paid advertisement for a product it shouldn't and it isn't specifically stated it shouldn't violate any TOS on YouTube or otherwise. Not to the best of my knowledge, although, technically it it could be seen as tax evasion if enough monetary value were attached to those gifts? Possibly? I'm fuzzy on that, been a while since I looked into it.that...

I think of it as fan mail. Fans don't seem to mind sending their favorite vloggers gifts. So, why not?
