Please report these kinds of posts (I'm guessing it's Mosaique88). It's amazing that people do this, it's forum etiquette 101 to not bump old threads.

FUCKING THIS.

I keep seeing >1 year old threads getting bumped with nonsense like "moar?" or "nice pics", more often than not by brand new users with post counts in the single digits. Personally, I feel that the best way to curb shitposting of that nature would be to implement a mandatory LURK MOAR period; if a brand spanking new user attempts to post inside that period, perhaps a message could pop up politely stating the reasons for such and outlining proper ettiquette. Additionally, while I haven't seen anything of the sort here (thank god), look what happened to inflatechan and to a lesser extent, pregchan. Inflatechan's hosting service got took it down because it got absolutely nuked by CP-linking spambots, and it would be a crying shame if the same were to ever happen here. An automatic post hold on new accounts would mitigate that sort of threat, or at least make it rather difficult for automated attacks to take place.

Also, if you end up seeing this post pregphil (or any other mod), what else constitutes eligibility for a report? Barring blatant rules violations, obviously.

Please report posts that bump old threads right away. The post will be deleted and the member punished. We try to monitor the forums for this kind of behavior, but naturally, some slip through.

In terms of other things to report -- the big ones are illegal/improper content (morphs of kids for example), and links to profiles.

As for a hold, this is worth considering. We're working on implementing a notification system on old threads warnings users against bumping without content.
