Good day to all.  I have had several peps reach out to me and ask why I quit posting.

Back June 2013, I started a thread of tube vids that I found around the internet daily.  The thread was to be vids that are new, good quality, and try to stay away from dicks.  The description of qualities was posted on the tread many times and all were invited to post.  Things were good for 9 years. 

A year ago the thread was taken over with postings of vids that did not fall into the requested categories.  I asked for those vids not to be posted and was told 'Ha Ha, you cant make me.'  And you are right. 

So I said, screw it, I will go elsewhere.  The main person posting the crap vids even posted a self congratulation when the thread hit 5 million views.

Those threads were AWESOME before you stopped posting.

So you quit over one user? Why didn't you just ask Admin or Pregphil to make the thread yours exclusively or to enforce the rules that were established? They probably would've done it considering users like Andy and ClashDojo have their own threads that they control and you were around since the near beginning.

It's quite sad that you built up this legacy for 9 years just to give up and abandon it without much of a fight.

What exactly are you bitching about?


I just checked and the thread you mentioned was named "Tube videos", which is about a generic as it could possibly be.

Then, several dozens people posted to it with a wide variety of content over an extended period of time.

Just because you named the thread poorly, and a single idiot thinks the 5 mil accomplishment is his, doesn't give you any standing on that thread.

Welcome back @gentledude. I would have liked to look into this for you (if I'm forgetting, apologies). That said, the thread was very much open, it became a thread to which anyone could share tube finds. If someone was being obnoxious or antisocial, especially in your direction, we could have helped. We often miss stuff like this unless it's reported or messaged.

I don't really understand this thread. The tube thread you started was a great place for people to share tube-hosted files without creating a bunch of individual threads. By 2013 it was busy and engaged, and I'm not really sure what the expectation would be 9 or 10 years later. Unless someone is pretty explicit about a thread being theirs initially, or posting guidelines, it's usually not theirs to police. We can help with this early in a thread's life, but not years later.

Can you share the post or page where this happened (privately or here)?

Hello all.  You may have noticed my absence over the past 6 months. 
The original idea (June 3, 2013) of the daily tube vid thread was pregnant, new, solo vids that usually did not have dicks.  Mostly solo stuff.  I posted several times that this was the original concept but fell upon deaf ears.  The thread was taken over by posts that usually contained dicks, old as crap, and are reposts.  Pissed me off, I  thought to myself, 'Screw it,' and just quit posting. 
So if someone thinks they have 5 millions views since their initial post on June 4, 2022, it really comes as no shock to me.  If someone wanted a thread to call their own, they should have started their own thread then.

Sounds like most if not all of the animosity is from his end since he didn't mention anything regarding the original concept anywhere in the beginning of the thread.

Okay, I remember this now. The OP didn't appear to be rubbing anything in, there was a reply that was deleted that was a bit nasty though. I don't know what to say about this @gentledude.

The lack of empathy by some is an indication of how shallow the triffids are on this site. (triffids ? if you have any sort of education you will understand the comparison.) Anyway I liked your postings but wondered what happened. Nice to see you again

You're going to show empathy for someone who rage quits over people sharing content, then be my guest. Imagine siding with the guy who's complaining about people breaking the "rules" that weren't even set in stone in the first place.

Dude wanted to be a control freak and cried fowl when he didn't get what he wanted. The thread is still alive and well even after he left.
