Now that I think on it, Village of the Damned is sort of wasted potential. Both movies skipped over the mass pregnancy in the village and went straight to creepy kids with psychic power. The recent Midwich Cuckoo's show which is based on the movie and the book, spent one episode focused on the mass pregnancy, but that didn't seem like enough time. Should've spent at least two episodes on the actual pregnancies.

I don’t know about the other two Village of the Damed flicks (since I haven’t seen ‘em), but I thought the recent Midwich Cuckoos television series had some truly gorgeous women who looked even more sexy as fuck when they got pregnant (especially Synnove Karlsen, India Amartefio, and Lara Rossi).

The TV show had a bit of good bare belly content. The pregnancies in the 1995 movie were OK but not great.

(June 10, 2023, 3:13 pm)awakenedhero Slither also comes to mind. Instead of having the lady go from skinny to 'big pregnant blob who explodes', they should've showed her growing towards that point. Alternatively, they could've had her explode and have another one of the female characters get impregnated. The plotline for the impregnated character would be showing the stages of growth leading up to that final 'big pregnant blob who explodes' stage and maybe trying to save them/ slow down their pregnancy.

There is a dimly lit scene that shows Brenda somewhere between normal and blob.  Attached image is a press photo, better lit than in the movie, but still.

I think your second idea would've worked better, since the shock value of seeing her as a huge blob doesn't work as well if you can see her transformation.
In the making of section of the DVD the directors revealed that originally Brenda was going to turn into a female version of what was happening to Grant, and there was a concept image of her in this form giving vaginal birth to the larvae instead of bursting.

And then there was that obvious vaginal penetration tease with the woman in the bathtub, sort of like the one in "Shivers", only they subvert that expectation by having the thing go for the orifice on the woman that has teeth instead.

My "sounds good on paper" scene would be a what if of this scene from the old 1980's Buck Rogers TV show.

What if the male character hadn't interrupted the "examination" and the "off think" continued?  I was young at the time but I was left with the distinct impression that the little alien men were going to see if the Earth female could lay eggs like their queen did, once they "attended" her like their queen, of course.

The last season of Modern Family: Satah Highland got to wear a BiG fake twin belly with a nice belly button. Why were there no bare belly scenes? She was covered up the whole damn time. Idk why they skipped over the birth. They should've had an ultrasound scene, bare belly rubbing scene & at least 1 belly movement scene but nothing. Complete let down for the last season. I watched all those episodes 4 nothing.

Last season of The Goldbergs: I didn't watch it but I'm sure I'm right. Same as above-> no bare belly scenes, no ultrasound scenes, no belly movement & the birth is skipped over. Why do shows keep doing this. What is the point of a pregnant character if none of the above happens? What a waste.

The last season of Life In Pieces was ok, (3/5) we did get 2 ultrasound scenes of the pregnant mom (nice belly) & we got a black (or Latino) woman pretending to give birth in a tub at a birthing center.. but.. the teen preggo was fully clothed, no movement or ultrasound. And they made her keep the baby.

Why is it that there is no good pregnancy content on TV anymore? So far Dead Ringers is the best (lots of good births & a ECV). There are only a few good Chicago Fire scenes (the best one is in "One More Shot"). There's a good birth scene in a 2022 season of Chicago Med. A black woman laying back & holding her legs up moaning & pushing.

Didn't see the Goldbergs pregnancy episodes but Hayley Orrantia did look pretty good with a fake bump.

In the early 2000s I came across a very interesting trailer for a movie called 'Pregnancy Plague'. It was about a school campus were the main male characters begin to notice several female students mysteriously becoming pregnant. Eventually it leads to a survival horror scenario in which the male students are being chased by cum hungry female students wanting to get knocked up. One by one guys get attacked and forced into having sex. This continues until the last guy left finds himself cornered by a cum hungry female ready to take his seed. The trailer ends there. I was excited to see the full movie however after doing a bit of research I discovered that there was no full movie and the trailer was just a parody of the movie 'Pregnancy Pact'.

I was very disappointed such a hot concept for a pregnancy horror/breeding movie was wasted in the form of a dick teasing joke.

I got the pics. Seems like every show (not on streaming) is the same now. Pregnant content is so dry it's like watching sand. If I wanted to see something disappointing I'd turn on the news.

An actual waste of Pregnancy-related story was from an old tv show called Space:1999; in the first season, they had an episode where a female crewmember was in labor even though we never saw her at all up to this point and time being pregnant at all. The episode is called "Alpha Child." Of course, most Sci-Fi shows with mixed crews are Star Trek, Babylon 5, StarGate, and Battlestar Galactica; all seem to drop the ball when working on a pregnancy storyline. Most of the time, they are forced to do such a thing because the actress herself has become Pregnant.
