The fact that this is a law in the first place is appalling. Personal space is personal space, and a person's body is not fair game for "touchy feelies" on any ground.

I prefer to ask first and get to know her abit before I dare to rub her belly out of a different context...to share her pregnancy and explore the belly is a personal, private and intimate thing not many women decide to share, but some of them do like to share that if they want to...and can trust you, regardless of age and gender. I hear about the occasional older ladies and little children approaching pregnant women to touch their bellies for logical reasons. Then I came to notice the man who got sued for not only touching her belly, but hugged her and asked "I want to be her friend" comes off kinda creepy and there's more to the story the media isn't reporting in depth on. The man's age is reportedly 58, twice the age of the 30-year old woman, so I ponder if he has some sort of mental disorder (autism?) that affects his social or behavioral skills around people. I don't know his motive is out of admiration of her pregnancy...that is under police investigation and the man will pay his fines in court.

Wow, I can't believe this is a law, what ridiculous law, I believe that everyone should respect each other's personal space. The reason I think it's ridiculous is the fact that a person could easily get away with it, serious think about how fast the women will get in contact with an police officer, I'm even if the woman called in the operator wouldn't even take the call seriously. There are greater thing happening out here.
