Random question:
Can someone have a phobia of pregnancy and a pregnancy fetish at the same time?

sure. one is often attracted/drawn to what one obstensibly fears/abhors. just look at manly/masculine men whose homophobia masks a denial.

So far, I have only managed to find/date women with tokophobia. It works out well pragmatically because I don't want kids, but... is still saaaaaad. Sad

Yeah. Love pregnant women. Absolutly terrified of being a father

childfree by choice, so the pregnancy fetish is a bit contradictory. it more stems from a belly fetish i can trace back to a certain point in my childhood.

Your example of homophobia is one that’s been proven false many times over and sees no end. For starters, it isn’t really inducing fear but provokes negative behavior that triggers aggression. There’s hardly any denial involved, just extreme intolerance, disgust, and contempt that another man would effeminate himself though the eyes of a hetero. Homophobia is if you think of if, literally one of the many human survival of the fittest coping mechanisms made by men, and in some cases by women. To also call a homophobic a “homo in denial” is also a coping mechanism made by the ones who defend homosexual behavior without deep insight or research.

A better argument would be if someone develops a “fear” of feet, a false sense of podophoboa from childhood exposure then later develops a foot fetish as he/she grows from teen to adulthood.

Tokophobia just seems like a natural reaction to pregnancy. I wouldn't say I'm tokophobic, but there are so many complications and anxieties inherent in having a child that it's impossible for me to not feel anxious about pregnancy, even when it arouses me. Then again, given my partner's recent miscarriage, I may be a bit biased.

For the record, when I say "phobia", I don't just mean feeling anxious or creeped out by something. I mean a serious irrational fear, like being on the verge of a nervous breakdown at the very thought of it.

I'd say sociology like culture and values with psychology and evolutionary biology can explain a lot of this. I mostly attribute those three to my attraction/fetishization of pregnant women and the belly itself. However, there can be multiple interpretations since human minds are unique and singular. Most research I have heard of is more towards the sociological or biological concepts of fertility and childbearing in societies. Theology too in some. Polytheistic pantheons with fertility goddesses, where some might be depicted as pregnant already or extremely feminine features like pronounced breasts or curves. Similar to a woman's rear-end too with the curves. Some evolutionary biologists think the "ass-man" originates from the concept of procreation that did not involve looking at the mate's face.

It is all so interesting to me, as with any subject that has been made objective in society due to beliefs of political or religious background or just traditional practice. Personally, I would love to start a family. However, not right now since I do not think I could help support them effectively as any other parent or partner I am involved with could.

Interesting, but how does any of that relate to the topic at hand?
