Meaning, have you ever let a pregnant women live at your house (for free or for rent)?
Usually this situation would happen if the woman doesn't have anywhere else to go.
Is this a good idea to get in close contact with pregnant women?

Ultimately, I would say no.
Personally, anyone who comes under my roof is under my protection, and in my care. It was something my grandpa believed very strongly in, and it's something that I can relate to. It doesn't matter if they're set in life or not. To me, using this as a method of meeting women, regardless of whether or not they have options for a living situation would seem dirty, like I'm taking advantage of them. It's just not something that I would do.

I can barely get by on my own, let alone also dealing with a pregnant woman. Best I can do is buy her McDonalds and drive her to a shelter or maternity home.

Yes. But to be clear, she had her own place and didn't need to be "taken in," so perhaps that's not what you're asking. We started out in an arrangement and developed actual feelings for each other over time. We're in a relationship now, and she and her child have moved in.

I can tell by how you speak about her.

I kind of moved in with my wife at her place. After the baby was born we moved back to her home state.

So pretty much like any other relationship? Two people start dating, fall in love, then move in together.

Yes, for a few days. The boyfriend was smacking the shit out of her, so she stayed over until her relatives were able to drive into town and pick her up.
