Brings back memories! All of my favorite dancers worked while preggers. When the manager thought they were too big to work the pole they'd come in just for me. My all time favorite ended up with 6 kids! I was there for every one. She got more beautiful with every one. Nothing sexier in my opinion.

I don't like to necropost, but something is not right.

It could be that it's a fake belly because on IMDB, it says that the actress is Shay Davila, and to the best of my knowledge, she isn't or hasn't been pregnant.

I doubt that the pregnant woman was Shay Davila. Either the data on IMDB is wrong or Shay Davila was in another scene, or there is another woman with the same name, I'm not sure.

For the belly, I can't tell if it was real or not despite I checked the scene frame by frame.  Since she was not likely to be Shay Davila, the belly might be real or fake.

Why would they go through the expense and trouble of making a fake belly for the scene. Have you seen the insane dancing preggos on YT?
Dancing slowly like this while knocked up hardly counts as dangerous stunt work. I've seen plenty of dancers work knocked. Its not too unusual though
they tend to work less hectic hours like afternoons.

So, you mean that the belly should be real because it's costly, right?

Most cases of a prosthetic belly are just because they need a non-pregnant actress playing a pregnant character.
Cases for avoiding dangerous stunt are very, very rare, and none had mentioned such worry here before.

Why I said I'm not certain is because I prefer solid evidence like movement and deformation.
For example:

• When normally exhale or laugh, a real pregnant belly would slightly inflate, as well as an outie bellybutton would be likely to pop out more, while a fake one wouldn't have any change.
  
• When lay on the back, a real pregnant belly would naturally sink a bit, while a fake one wouldn't unless the spine moved.
  
• Exaggerated and/or repeating fetal movement means a fake belly.
  
• Rapid pregnancy, belly-spin breakdance, and violent beating are always fake.
  
• A real belly of confirmed non-pregnant actress belongs to a body double. (e.g. María Valverde in Plonger)
  
• The way skin stretches when the waist moves would be different, although I can't explain in detail.

A fake belly probably costs less than the pregnant actor, and hiring pregnant actors can be difficult with timing.  And they weren't just looking for a pregnant actor, they were looking for a woman who was willing to show her tits and twirl on a stripper pole all while nine months pregnant.  Don't get me wrong, those actors are out there, but every constraint on the role thins the available pool of actors, and not all of them are available when the casting call goes out.  It's possible you don't end up with the person you're looking for. It's a lot easier to remove one of the constraints (i.e. don't actually need a pregnant actor) and compensate for it (i.e. slap a fake belly on her).

This is not to say that the belly in Ozark isn't real.  If the IMDB listing is indeed wrong then the stripper may very well have been pregnant.  Certainly looks real.  But there is a reason why many shows use fake bellies.
