Honest question because I’m trying to work up the courage to get a belly rub. How do you do approach for a rub? How do you ask?

Approach from the front or side and say excuse me and start a conversation then lead to the rub

You can start out with a complement or simply congratulate her. Maybe ask how far along she is. Just be nice and don't be creepy and when you ask for a rub if they let you then you can say something safe or if she doesn't let you then you apologize and be nice and say have a nice day.

Good ideas. I guess my problem is that I get so nervous even approaching anyone. Most of the time, they have someone with them too so that doesn’t help

When someone is with them, don't bother trying. The risk is too high, especially knowing that rubbing a pregnant stomach is just that...rubbing a pregnant stomach..Nothing else..
This should be a hobby and not turning into something that you will regret for the rest of your life..

Lol you may get lucky where you live in my country HELL NO even If you be friendly with them till they are comfortable and ask they still say No, I've actually never rubbed a bump yet very sad but oh well... there's still time in the future
