We're migrating our database (which includes everything until the end of yesterday, June 27 -5 GMT) -- permissions apparently didn't work. We disabled posts/replies for registered members but people were still able to post for whatever reason.

Having adjusted things on the database-side, all forums except for this one have been turned off.

We'll see what can be done about salvaging the handful of posts from today, but they might be lost.

Sorry to sbflicker, david100, among others -- we'll try to salvage these posts but they might be lost.

Private messaging and this sub-forum (Others) will remain functional for now. Be advised that private messages sent after June 27 (-5 GMT) will be lost, meaning today until the domain is pointed to the new server.

This is not the manner in which we hoped to conduct the migration, but as everyone has noticed, our current host has totally ruined our service. The site is now plagued with 503 and 508 errors whereas before it was simply slow.

As a result, we hope to wrap everything up by the end of today (tomorrow morning at the latest).

(June 28, 2016, 11:24 pm)Tyrion what about my thread?

Your thread is part of the backup and transfer, including the latest post on the 27th. For clarification: every single thing posted on or before June 27 is moving to the new server.

Yep, we're back on the old server. This isn't going well frankly -- we'll get it sorted though.

Sorry guys, I know this is a major inconvenience. I'm pulling my hair out over here.

We're going to have a fast site even if it costs significantly more. This is a "slower" package, on the old host, and it's functioning better than the new package because of CloudLinux. We'll show the new host this and they'll come around to installing it.

ALL content added to the forum, on this server, will be ported over. We'll make a point of transferring additional files and data once we have a stable package at the other host.
