With the sad news of the death of actor Julian Sands i thought we'd revist the belly expansion birth scene in the second of his Warlock movies Warlock: The Armageddon which was released in 1993 which of course is 30 years ago 

It's still a really good scene and one of the better pregnancy expansion scenes in movies. The belly looks good and the woman's dress ripping so you see some of her bare belly is very good. What do people here think of it 30 years on? Is it still a good scene?

I remember when this movie had come out -- I really wanted to see it just for the horror/supernatural stuff, but I was sure in for a treat when that scene came up. I was really young, too. The rip in her dress as the belly swells was incredibly hot; massive fan of this one.

Wow it's so damn easy to lose track of time. I was 15 when this movie came out which is around the time I developed a curiosity about pregnant women. The timeless impregnation/birth scene is indeed as sexy as it was 30 years ago. The special effects, editing and Dawn Ann Billings’s acting are all on point. This cult classic gem is forced impregnation perfection despite the fact her breasts don't expand along with her growing belly and bust out of her dress blasting milk everywhere. That would have been awesome af however the scene is more than enjoyable as is. Always has been one of my all time favorite body horror scenes.

There are certain movies I consider to be MUST HAVE on physical media. Warlock 2: Armageddon is one of those movies even if all you care about is the impregnation/birth scene.

Scene was good, but the evil genie/warlock pregnancy should've been the plot of the entire movie.

That would have been good but doubt they could have done that.

What I've always liked best about this scene is although it's a belly expansion it results in a normal natural birth rather than the woman's belly bursting open. Species II and other movies with belly expansions could have done something like this rather than the belly bursting stuff you see in them.

I'm finding it hard to believe this is now 30 years old. In my head, it feels as though it's little more than half that! I'm finding that with a lot of things from the 90s though, to be honest.

It was an alright film for it's time in my opinion, although I admit barring that belly expansion scene you find online, it's not something I've sat and watched through for probably ten (plus) years now... 

I thought the expansion was done very well for what special effects there were in those days. It certainly doesn't look too dated even today - which only stands as testament to it, really. I will admit I've never been overly keen on bursting bellies over more natural births (i.e - why spoil a good swollen belly only to ultimately destroy it?!). It does take a bit of the 'shine' off for me, but that's each to their own of course.
