Definition -

Polyhydramnios (polyhydramnion, hydramnios, polyhydramnios) is a medical condition describing an excess of amniotic fluid in the amniotic sac. It is seen in about 1% of pregnancies. It is typically diagnosed when the amniotic fluid index (AFI) is greater than 24 cm.

Signs and Symptoms of Polyhydramnios

Excessive and rapid weight gain. ...
A rapid increase in the mother's abdominal size and increasing discomfort.
Swelling of the legs, and generalized body swelling.
A slowing down of foetal movements.
Breathlessness.

Unfortunately it's also dangerous for the mother & baby.

Theres no way this fibromalaysia chick from youtube did not have polyhydominos.

Also this goddess Tammy had polyhydominos as well right up until about 35 weeks where she had a litre of fluid taken out to relieve pressure on a pre-existing c section scar.

About ten years ago I ran into an old friend from high school who was pregnant and huge. I asked her if she was due "any day". She frowned and said she still had two months to go, and was only that big because she had polyhydramnios. That's the first time I remember hearing about it. I could tell she was in a lot of pain, and it took everything she had just to walk.

She made it to her due date too. Can't imagine what that must have felt like.
